On July 16, 2020 the Mill Creek Police Foundation came alongside the Bothell Police Department to raise money for the family of Officer Jonathan Shoop who was killed in the line of duty on July 13, 2020. We had a goal of raising $25,000 and put the word out on our Facebook page. Within an hour local radio personalities announced our fund raiser on air and adeeply compassionate community responded.
Within three weeks our goal was not only met, but exceeded. Initially, we were excited to deliver donations of $20,000 collected from this fund raiser. On August 10th we were beyond thrilled that we were able to present Bothell Police Sergeant Stapleton and Officers Martin and Cooke with a check for another $15,000, bringing the amount transferred over to-date to $35,000!
A huge thank you goes out to everyone who supported the effort and made it such a huge success.
