Because we are a fundraising foundation dedicated to raising money to support the local Police Department’s service to the community, you may want to know what types of support were have provided so far and how we hope to help in the near future
FAQ: What have we done so far? – In 2018 and 2019 we raised the needed funds to make it possible for Mill Creek to participate in the Washington state Chief For A Day event that celebrated a child with life- threatening illness and her family in 2018, built a secure state-of-the-art kennel for Mill Creek’s K9 in 2018 and 2019, purchased uniforms for four of the MCPD’s civilian volunteer citizen patrol members and put on the first ever spouse appreciation luncheon celebrating the spouses and families of the Mill Creek Police Department.
FAQ: What do we have planned for 2020? – We will be focusing our fundraising on two very important life- saving types of equipment. First, we hope to raise enough to put a defibrillator in every police vehicle so all of our officers have them available. Second, we’re now raising money to purchase a TruNarc portable drug chemical analysis system that will enable officers in the field to confirm the chemical composition of suspicious substances without having to put themselves in harm’s way through exposure.
FAQ: How can I make a donation for something specific and know that it will go to the program I want? – All donations we receive that are to be used for a specific purpose are happily accepted and deposited into an account designated for that use.
FAQ: How can I become a member? Is there any cost to joining the foundation? – Membership is absolutely free and we are definitely in need of growing our membership. We are an all-volunteer organization and would be delighted to meet you! Just fill out the brief form on our Contact Us page and we will get back to you ASAP.
